How to Level Up Faster in Infinite Warfare
This is how to prestige fast in Infinite Warfare using the best Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare tips and tricks to earn XP faster and unlock new gear.
Play The Right Game Mode
You need to play the right game mode to level up faster in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This may not be your favorite game mode, but if you want to rank up faster you can make this a focus of your level up gaming sessions.
The two best modes to level up faster in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare are Search and Destroy and Kill Confirmed.
Unfortunately Infinity Ward doesn’t seem to care much about the Hardcore game modes at launch, leaving players with fewer options. There is no Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Hardcore Kill Confirmed playlist, so you will need to go into Core or look for other options.
In Kill Confirmed you can basically farm XP by killing and picking up tags. Make sure you pick up the tags to earn the most XP.
Always go for the headshot if you can since this will pull in more XP for you, but a kill is better than getting taken out while you line up a perfect headshot.
Play Challenges for XP
You also need to make sure you look at the Challenges in your barracks to pick the challenge to go after. This will allow you to earn more XP by playing a match with a specific gun, class or set of options. Unfortunately there isn’t a fast way to see all of the challenges you are almost done with.
Play Infinite Warfare Team Missions
When you start playing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare you will see Team Missions in the upper right. You can complete these to earn more XP as you play the game. You can use the bumpers to se the missions. You will start with one mission and then you will see three. They look similar to the challenges, but they are separate.
- The JTF Wolverines missions are casual missions that may require you to get kills with a specific weapon type or something like that.
- The Orion Initiative missions focus on objectives. You need to unlock this.
- Savre Team Seven missions focuse on using different tech options that may task you with using different equipment in the game.
- Wraith team missions are all about the kills and will generally require you to be a lone wolf.
Keep in mind that you need to pick the mission you want in each game. You may see three on the lobby screen, but only one goes in game with you.
Rank Up Infinite Warfare Guns
Another way to earn more XP is to level up Infinite Warfare guns. This unlocks attachments that make you a better player and you earn XP from each of the levels that you complete.
You can plow through weapons sticking with one as you unlock it all the way to weapon prestige or you can skip around to level up a variety of weapons.
While you are at it, make sure you use the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare weapon crafting system to unlock prototype weapons that will give you an edge.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Double XP
The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare release date arrived with a Double XP weekend. Keep an eye out for these events which will likely come every few weekends during the rest of the year. They allow you to rank up faster in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare by using the same tips above. Infinity Ward and Call of Duty will tweet about these.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Tips & Tricks
Other Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare tips and tricks include logging in daily to claim your daily play bonus. This won’t actually earn you any XP, but it can help you get new items faster with keys and salvage.
Spend time trying out the Combat rigs to find the one that works best for your play. This will allow you to become a better player in the same way that finding the best specialist helped in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
At the end of each game you can look at a map to see where you got the most kills and deaths. This heatmap will show you where you need to avoid, or where you need to keep you eyes open for enemies more.
If you are playing to level up, don’t be too focused on your K/D ratio at this point. Yes, it is hard to bring it up later but if you don’t care about your global K/D ratio you can play more aggressive when you are focused on leveling up, even if you die a lot more than normal.
