Microsoft Edge has got tab previewsin Windows 10 with November update (version 1511), with which you can quickly preview a tab without switching to it by hovering over it. Tab preview is not a new feature, existed since a long time in other browsers. If you don’t like the feature and coming in your way when you’re navigating between the tabs, you candisable it even in the Anniversary Update, here is how that can be done.

Disabling Tab previews for Edge in Windows 10 anniversary update
1. Open the registry editor by typing regedit in Run dialog, press Ctrl+F to open Find dialog, search fortabbbedbrowsing
2. Registry editor finds and highlights the TabbedBrowsing key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\TabbedBrowsing
3. Create a new Dword (32-bit) with name TabPeekEnabled and keep its value ‘0’
4. Exit the registry editor, close and reopen Edge browser to use edge without tab previews..
To restore the feature back again in Edge, visit edge tabbedbrowsing registry key and set TabPeedkEnabled value to ‘1’.
