It is always believed that women are a week sex. Prior to the Stone Age, women were having an equivalent status and force with that of the men. However, post Vedic and epic ages, women started facing issues in the form of challenges. Men were viewed as the food finder and women are considered and answerable for taking care of family and household works. As we progress with the time, at the political, social or economic level, we have seen only men. There was no space for women. Even women were treated as slaves. With the passage of time, women somehow managed to enter; still at authority men were placed. Portrayal of ladies in people in general and political circles was restricted, and because of this, sexual orientation imbalance actually exists even today. This is actually why the world requires women to accept the possibility of women strengthening. The idea of ladies strengthening tries to carry ladies’ privileges and ladies’ necessities to the front line and make them a greater piece of the dynamic interaction, be it at the family-level, the public level or the worldwide level.
It was seen in the pre-independence period, nineteenth century, that situations with ladies started changing bit by bit. If we recall Jhansi Ki Rani Lakshmibai in India and Marie Curie who won the Nobel prize in the field of physics and Chemistry, then any one can say that women empowerment was there. And they have equal rights as men.
But it was not the same at every place. Even till today we have only one woman as PM of India that is Mrs. Indira Gandhi. It is solely after the Independence of India, under the capable authority of Dr.Ambedkar, public pioneers began emphatically requesting and furthermore repeating the equivalent social situation of ladies with men.
Today, it is overpowering to see that a great proportion of ladies in India are in the descent situations in all strolls of the fields. In any case, on different occasions and organizations it has been seen that women are segregated, mishandled, tormented and annoyed both openly and in families. Despite the distress and enduring, it is a great idea to discover that a couple of ladies have had the option to build up their possibilities.
In the post-Independence time frame during the initial not many years, the significant concern was intended for general monetary development. Breaking the 65-year-old glass ceiling, the Supreme Court ordered that woman also be allowed to take the National Defense Academy (NDA) exam and found that the policy restricting their entry into the institution of the elite is based on “gender discrimination”. She also criticized what has been called the mentality of the military to offer equal opportunities to women. We can say that still women need to be more empowered.
