On a particular day in 2009, my entire world crumbled. I was working as a content editor at a small publishing company when the unthinkable happened: our website crashed and we lost everything we’d worked so hard to build. It was a devastating experience that left me reeling—and determined to do whatever I could to avoid such a fate ever happening again. Fortunately, I didn’t have to wait long.
Less than two years later, I found myself in another web disaster: this time, it was my own blog that was lost in the shuffle. Lessons learned? Don’t be a victim of your own success. And always make sure your website is properly backed up! In this blog post, we will explore these lessons and more.

What Happened on the Day I Will Never Forget
On September 11, 2001, I was a freshman in high school. My world was turned upside down when I heard the news on my school’s PA system. The next day, I woke up to a classroom full of classmates and teachers grieving. For me, it was a day that will never be forgotten.
How I Reacted When I Found Out
I was walking through the grocery store when I got a call from my best friend. She told me that my mom had passed away. I was devastated. My mother was the best thing in my life and I didn’t want to lose her.
My Thoughts on the Day
On the day that will forever be etched in my mind, I was walking through the park with my best friend. It was a beautiful day and everything felt so perfect. All of a sudden, we heard screaming coming from the other side of the park. We ran over to see what was happening and saw two girls fighting.
One of the girls had a big knife and she was stabbing the other girl repeatedly. We tried to help her but it was too late. The girl with the knife died right in front of us. This moment will stay with me forever and I will never forget it.
The Aftermath of the Day
The aftermath of the day looms large in my mind and won’t be forgotten any time soon. I struggle to sleep at night, reliving every moment that led up to the attack and the pain I feel everyday since. Every person who was involved in this senseless act leaves a hole in my life that can never be filled.
I know I’ll never forget those bright, beautiful eyes staring into mine as he stabbed me repeatedly. Or the sound of his maniacal laughter as he walked away from what could have been my death sentence. Life will go on, but for now it’s just an endless cycle of agony and mourning.

The day I will never forget started like any other. I woke up and ate breakfast like always. I was about to leave my house when my mom called me and told me there had been a tornado outbreak in the area and to stay put. I didn’t believe her at first, but then she sent a photo of the tornado watch on our TV.
I knew she was telling the truth so I hung up and went back to bed. A few minutes later, my phone rang again and this time it was my brother calling from work saying there had been a tornado outbreak too and that they were evacuating their building because of it. My heart sank as soon as I heard his voice; I knew there was no way I could stay cooped up in my house any longer.
I got dressed as quickly as possible and packed all my belongings into a small bag before heading outside. The entire street was flooded with water so cars were completely stalled out everywhere. It took us forever to find an exit road that wasn’t blocked off by water or debris.
Once we finally made it out, we were immediately hit with winds so strong our hair flew right into our faces and trees were being uprooted right in front of us. We kept walking until we came across a small park where we found some shelter from the
