The day I almost died
It was a normal weekday morning. I woke up, got dressed and headed to work. As I walked through the parking lot, I saw someone driving very recklessly. It looked like they were going 100 mph in a 25 mph zone. My heart started to race as I realized that this could be it – my last day on Earth.
I quickly darted into the building, trying not to be noticed. As soon as I got inside, I collapsed onto the ground in tears. All of my fears had come true – this was it, the end.
But then something amazing happened: someone called an ambulance! They took me to the hospital and diagnosed me with a heart attack. Miraculously, I survived – without any permanent damage or disabilities.
This story is proof that anything can happen – even death – and we should never give up on our dreams or goals. If something seems too frightening or dangerous to do, don’t do it! But remember: if something feels too good to be true, it probably is…
How I survived
On October 30th, 2014, I was involved in a car accident that could have resulted in my death. The accident happened while I was driving home from work. Luckily, I was not injured and the other driver was also uninjured. However, the car I was driving was totaled and I had to file a claim with my insurance company. In the meantime, I had to find a new car and deal with the fact that I would be without a vehicle for at least six months.
The process of finding and purchasing a new car can be daunting for someone who is not familiar with the process. Fortunately, I had help from my family and friends. My father found me a used car that fit my needs and my friends lent me their vehicles until mine arrived. Overall, it was an ordeal but one that I managed to survive.
Lessons I learned from my near-death experience
The day I almost died was one of the most terrifying, life-altering experiences of my life. It started out like any other day—I woke up, got ready for work and then headed to my car. But as soon as I opened the door to get in, I realized something was wrong. My car wouldn’t start. After a few minutes of trying everything I could think of, I called a tow truck.
As soon as the tow truck arrived, I knew something was really wrong. My car had been in an accident and there were major injuries involved. The tow truck driver told me that two people were pronounced dead at the scene and another person had serious injuries.
I was in total shock and didn’t know what to do or say. All I could focus on was getting to the hospital as quickly as possible so that I could see if my friend was okay. Luckily, he was and we spent the rest of that day together talking and joking about our near-death experiences (which admittedly made us both a little more paranoid).
Although this experience wasn’t easy by any means, it taught me some valuable lessons that have stayed with me ever since. Here are four of them:
1) Life is precious—and it should be lived to its fullest extent
2) Don’t take anything for granted—no matter how small or insignificant it may seem
3) Embrace your fears—they
The importance of patience
The importance of patience has never been more apparent to me than it is right now. I was very close to dying on September 14th, 2016. I had a heart attack while running and it was so serious that I could have gone to the hospital immediately and been fine, but I didn’t.
I think part of the reason why I didn’t go to the hospital right away is because I was so rushed. The stress of the situation caused my heart attack to worsen and by the time I realized what was happening, it was too late. Had I gone to the hospital right away, there’s a good chance that my life would have ended that day.
Now here I am almost two years later and although things have not always been easy, they have definitely improved since that day. That experience has taught me a lot about patience and how important it is in our lives. Patience allows us to take things step-by-step in order to achieve our goals.
It also allows us to be understanding when things don’t go our way and to stay positive even when times are tough.
Although September 14th will always be a difficult day for me, it has also taught me many valuable life lessons that I can use in future situations. Thank you for reading my blog post and thank you especially for being patient with me as this process unfolds!
Conclusion
It was early morning, and I had just woken up from a deep sleep. I was feeling groggy and slightly lightheaded, but that’s all normal according to my doctor. So when I started hearing loud noises coming from the kitchen, I thought nothing of it. Seconds later however, I realized something was terribly wrong.
My husband had just sliced open our cat’s head with a knife while she was sleeping in the kitchen chair! At first, all I could do was scream in horror as he calmly helped me clean up the scene. After that terrifying experience though, things changed quickly…
