Chlorophyll (also chlorophyl) is a term used for several closely related green pigments found in cyanobacteria and the chloroplasts of algae and plants.
Chlorophyllis a green pigment present in the call organelle called chloroplast . The green colour of the plants is due to the presence of Chlorophyll in them . Chlorophyll is present mostly in the green plants . Chlorophyll traps the sunligh energy . This energy is used to synthesise food from carbon dioxide and water during the process of photosynthesis .
