Capybara
The capybara is the largest rodent in the world. Adult capybaras grow to 106 to 134 cm, stand 50 to 62 cm tall and usually weigh 35 to 66 kg. It has a heavy, barrel-shaped body and short head, with reddish-brown fur on the upper part of its body that turns yellowish-brown underneath. Native to South Ameriaca, it inhabits savannas and dense forests and lives near water bodies. It is a social animal and can be found in groups as large as 100 individuals. The insect is herbivores, and feeds on grasses, aquatic plants, fruit and tree bark.
